Templars Communications develops Social Media Charter

Templars Communications Social Media

The Social Media Charter is being developed by Templars Communications to define the best practice that will allow the financial services industry to safely engage with all social media platforms.

Why? Following an event in November with 15 leading financial services firms, including State Street Global Advisors and BNP Paribas Securities Services, it became apparent that there is a clear demand and need for firms to understand exactly how they can communicate through social media, whilst remaining compliant with regulations. Despite the challenges to the industry, consumer’s expectations are high and the business opportunity in using social media effectively for financial services firms is vast.

Templars Communications is taking this forward by leading the discussion with the FCA on behalf of the financial services industry to develop The Social Media Charter.

Please email smcharter@templars.co.uk with any questions you might have for the FCA or for Templars Communications on how you can safely and effectively build social media into your business.
